Fetish wear made its way down the runaway in Berlin this past week thanks to French-Austrian designer Marina Hoermanseder. Debuting her spring-summer 2015 collection, Hoermanseder had her models leather-bound as they walked down the runway with dominance and a hint of cold eroticism.

The pieces in the collection are sexy and feminine and have made this taboo subculture more approachable with this fresh perspective. Hoermanseder plays with idea of integrating the sexy and constructed pieces with free flowing materials to create a cohesive garment that blurs the lines of dominance and submission.

Although the collection is heavily inspired by the intrepid fetish underground club culture of Berlin,  Hoermandseder truly makes fetish her own as she keeps the palette neutral and nude as opposed to shiny and black, known archetypes of fetish culture.

This is only the beginning of her career after working under the house of Alexander McQueen. Now established as an independent fashion house based out of Berlin, we will be anxious to see how her leather fashions and overall aesthetic evolve as she continues to produce pieces to be displayed down future runways.
